I am looking to create annotations in the pupil player but am not sure how to see the annotations within pupil player after I have created them and used the Hotkey to mark the frame. I am looking to ultimately create 8 annotations and use those repeatedly throughout a 15 minute video. How can I best do this?

Hi @user-7456b9 , Pupil Player does not show an Annotations timeline. Rather, when the player reaches the annotated frame, it will briefly flash a message with the Annotation's name in the main window. You can test this as follows:

  • Make an Annotation at a frame
  • Press the right arrow key to step forward one frame
  • Press the left arrow key to step back to the Annotated frame
  • You will see the Annotation name appear on the screen

Otherwise, to make Annotations, you simply continue as you have done:

  • Go to the frame that should be annotated
  • Press the appropriate key to annotate
  • Move forwards to the next frame to be annotated
