Hello.. I w

Hello everyone, does anyone have experience with recording outside while using the Pupil Core set? For example tips on what type of place the calibration is most reliable for the eye tracker? @user-bbfd3f I have this question too.

@user-d98d40 you can use Pupil Core outside as noted by wearing a hat and avoiding direct sunlight. You may also have some success in adjusting exposure settings in the eye camears. However, it must be noted that any system that relies on IR illumination and "classical" computer vision pipeline for pupil detection will face challenges in highly IR saturated environments (Pupil Core is not alone 😸 ).

That being said, this is one of the many reasons why we developed Pupil Invisible -- so that you can get gaze data regardless of environmental lighting conditions.
