Hi Pupil Community. This new channel is for the community to share research, publications, presentations, and information about conferences (and other research oriented topics).
For those of you who may not already know, we maintain a list of papers/projects that cite and/or use Pupil in their research. It is available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZD6HDbjzrtRNB4VB0b7GFMaXVGKZYeI0zBOBEEPwvBI/edit?usp=sharing
Hey, thanks for creating the channel
I am a phd student at the university of Utah
I am working on creating automated tool to diagnose lazy eye
I am studying the feature positive effect using multiple sources (eye movements, latency, buttom-pressing, ...)
I am from Universidade Federal do Pará, Brazil.
Nice to see the exchange here 😄
A question of interest of mine,
Is there any research that you are familiar with
Refers to a distinguished tracking
Process
Between different agrs
Ages**
Even something like blinking rate or
Something
I am also looking forward to do something with VR for my Thesys using pupil
Has anyone used the device in conjuncture with Unreal Engine ?
Hey guys! I'm a PhD student at the Rochester Institute of Technology and I am researching different algorithms to classify gaze movements!
@user-33d9bc There are tons of papers which have studied Saccade/Head/Pupil dilation and contraction wrt age. Let me know if you need me to point you to a few!
@user-c828f5 That will be great
Thank you
Has anyone used PupilLabs to measure blink rate? My team is trying to find past research using the equipment to measure that but can't find anything concrete
Blink detection was implemented in recent versions of Pupil Capture
Pupil player does not have offline blink detection
Also, the detection approach uses pupil confidence, which is reliable with binocular setups only
Offline blink detector is in current master. Will be released Tuesday
:-)
For high quality blink detection with monocular setups I would recommend custom algorithms
Or visual inspection
Nice! looking forward for the new version!
@user-87c39d , you would somewhat be a pioneer using Pupil for blink research. For me it sounds awesome!
