Hi Pupil Labs team. We are still having trouble with updating the firmware on our Neon glasses and now the glasses won't appear in our app. We are also receiving this red LED indicator light on the left eye camera (as shown in the attached image). Is there a recommendation on what to do?
Hi @user-f4e4e0! I think we'd need to look into this a bit more deeply. Can you please send us an email that contains the serial number of the module? Please contact info@pupil-labs.com
Great, thanks.
Thanks a lot @nmt ! Just a quick clarification question. Will I be able to use the Neon XR Pico add on configuration for the Pico Neo Pro 3 ? I have it with me already. If that doesnβt work Iβm thinking of buying the Pico 4 Enterprise.
No problem! Whilst we haven't actually tried it with the Pico 3, there are geometry differences between the HMD versions. So it's very unlikely our add-on would fit out of the box. You'd probably need to develop a custom mount. Our add-on does attach to the Pico 4 Enterprise, though!
Hello everyone how are you? I'm interested in using Neon XR to do group analysis in VR. Could anyone give me some tips on how to aggregate data from different individuals (considering a 360 scene, but with one part being the region of interest)?
Cool cool ! So if I buy the Neon Pico 4 add on, will I be able to detach it from the mount and just use the bare metal neon module to attach to my own custom made frame ? I would like to start off with using the Pico 4 but I envision myself using different headsets in the near future.
Hi @user-a8f53c ! Yes, you can unmount the module from the Pico Neo 4 frame and use it with a different frame
Hi @user-ff2367! Could you share some further details about how you will be working with Neon-XR, e.g. will you be using our Unity integration?
Hello @nmt! Yes, I'm using the Neon XR Core package in Unity. The idea is to build an app with an immersive environment in which the user is just an observer. I would like to do offline analysis to build the group heatmap (of a part of the environment), for example.
Thanks for the clarification. Follow-up question about your immersive environment, is that a fully immersive 3D scene, or a 360 degree panoramic view?
Initially, it would be a 360 panoramic environment. In the future, the idea would also be to have an 3D immersive environment (but these are longer term plans)
Thanks for the clarification. So we actually have a demo scene included with the MRTK Template Project that will be of interest to you. To get the project running, the steps outlined here should suffice. I think you've already spoken with my colleague about the requirements for mounting/calibration. Note that the demo scene generates a heatmap for a single wearer. But it's a good place to start!
Hi @nmt , thank you very much! I'm going to take a closer look at this scene

Our lab would love access to the 3D models you mentioned, we also still have a question regarding power & the bare metal neon model?
