Hi! B-)
Nice work @wrp . Was about time that this migration happend. This way we will be more aware about community questions. Would be great though, if somebody knew a permanent way to promote this channel instead of a 24h invite link.
If you hit the button "invite someone to pupil" there is an option "set this link to never expire". Isn't that enough @papr ? https://discord.gg/tF9dAPW
@user-6d32b9 Oh, that will do. 😃 I just saw the links that @wrp posted in Gitter with the comment, that they would expire after 24 hours. With your way, we can put a permanent link onto our website. Thanks!
I have an old unsolved bug related to multiprocessing.queue memory allocation in a plugin
The queue is not being freed while detecting screens
But the surface detector works fine. I did not expected such problem because a great part of the plugin is just copied from or inherited from existing working code
Please someone could give me a hand on this? I just want to know where in the code the stuff loaded by the fill_cacher is freed
@user-41f1bf This sounds like you have an other reference to your queue about which you are not thinking of yet.
Hummm
The fix for memory overflow (by moritz), using python types through .tolist improved a lot memory use
@papr yes we can make a link that never expires as @user-6d32b9 notes. I used the 24 hour link for the gutter channel and was planning on continuing to update the link (as a reminder to self) to check in on the gitter channel over this week/transition period.
I will also be updating the readme on pupil repo with a permalink invite to this channel and links on docs and website today.
@wrp I would recommend you to set up email notifications for gitter. This way you do not have to check in manually.
Thanks
