Good afternoon! Please tell me, there is a Marker Mapper function in Pupil Cloud that defines markers. I am faced with such a problem that I need to find out the coordinates of not only the four markers that form the surface, but also, for example, the 5th one, which is located inside a certain surface. When running this function through the Pupil Cloud, in the surface_positions.csv file, namely in the detected markers column, he sees the 5th marker, but does not write its coordinates. Please tell me how to get out of this situation and what needs to be done in order for additional coordinates to be displayed? Thanks!

Hi @user-17d0c0 , Marker Mapper is not designed to work exactly like that. That is, it tells you the coordinates of the Surface (the blue box), as defined by the AprilTags, but it does not tell you the positions of the tags that are used to detect & "build" said Surface.

Could you send a screenshot or a video capture of your stimulus and explain the goal of your research a bit more? Then, we can potentially find an alternate solution for you.

hello, i've been having trouble with Invisible Companion App for some time now. I've also been looking for an answer here, but haven't found it yet. The app on the mobile phone keeps freezing, not responding every time we use it. I need to open it couple of times before it works, also it freezes during the recording or in between the participants. It leads to prolonging the study.... I've been wondering maybe we have to many wearers, maybe we should delete them, but it isn'y possible becuse the app is connected directly with Pupil Cloud. Do you know how to solve this issue?

Hi @user-e66c8c , it is unlikely to be the number of wearers. Could you open a Support Ticket in 🛟 troubleshooting and we will follow-up with you there?

thanks! ok, going to troubleshooting

Hi, I am using Pupil Invisible' real time API for a study project. I can easily access the scene video and gaze data using the real time API but I am also interested in eye videos (left and right eye videos) and other data such as fixations, saccades, and blinks. I was wondering how can I access this data from Pupil Invisible using the real time API. (Please note that I have also worked with post-hoc pipeline where the recording is uploaded to Pupil cloud and then I can download this information. But i am interested in getting this information in real time like that for Pupil Neon) . Is there any possible way to do so with Pupil Invisible glasses using the real time API?

Looking forward to your feedback and suggestion.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards, Omair

Hi @user-c2e20a , these data streams are not available over the Real-time API with Pupil Invisible. Only the data streams detailed here are available via Pupil Invisible's API.

user-c2e20a 16 June, 2025, 07:34:36

@user-f43a29 Thank you for your reply. Are these data streams also not available via Legacy API?

user-d407c1 16 June, 2025, 07:40:27

Hi @user-c2e20a 👋 ! Yes, you can access it through the legacy API, but note that it is deprecated.

You can read more about accessing eye images with Pupil Invisible here: https://discord.com/channels/285728493612957698/633564003846717444/1308036894524702740

@user-d407c1 Thank you for your message. I will go through it. I have another question regarding the Pupil Invisible's post-hoc pipeline (where the data is uploaded to Pupil cloud and then we can download the above-mentioned data streams from there). When we download the data from Pupil Cloud, we get access to eye videos as well (both left and right eyes); however, we still do not have pupil diameter information with it. Is there a way I can compute the pupil diameter from those eye videos from Pupil Invisible? (I know that pupil diameter information is already available for Neon).

Looking forward to your feedback any any suggestion in this regard.

Best, Omair

As reported in the linked message due to the eye camera angles, pupil detection and eye states cannot be robustly measured or offered. In that message there is also a link to a repository and paper where pupil measures are attempted.

Hi. New to Discord, newish to Pupil Labs Invisible. Hope someone can advise me: Had to rollback my OnePlus 8 Android OS from 12 down to 11, with rollback software (zip and apk) supplied by Pupil Labs. For one thing, it rolled it back to Android 10 unexpectedly, not 11. Also, when I connect the glasses to the phone it records the video but now the gaze icon is all greyed out and doesn't work. Can anyone tell me if there's anything I can do about this? MT in anticipation. Yours, Dave Technician (Cheltenham,UK).

Hi @user-447c7c , you can simply let the phone upgrade to Android 11 and test again to see if that resolves it.

user-447c7c 25 June, 2025, 08:33:21

Thanks for getting back to me. I did try that, but when I click on Software Updates it told me I had the latest version, even though it was clearly on Android 10. I also looked for the manual OS software update on the OnePlus site but I get an 'Access denied' message on the relevant page. I'm at a loss at what to do. Personally, I think this is a OnePlus 8 issue as I don't have any of these problems with OnePlus 8T. But unfortunately I am stuck with this version.

This is what my OnePlus 8 is showing me
