Hi @user-faad80 ! I reply to your question https://discord.com/channels/285728493612957698/285728493612957698/1224823693168087222 on the dedicated channel for VR addons
The video features the HTC Vive VR addon powered by Pupil Core technology, with eye cameras mounted on rings inside the headset. For more details, visit our documentation here.
These addons are being replaced by Neon which can also be easily integrated into XR setups, but there may still be opportunities to purchase the HTC Vive VR addon.
If youβre interested, please reach out to sales@pupil-labs.com for availability and more information.
understand but I cant find the one I mention in the video I cant find that one unless its called (Neon Pico 4 add-on)
Hi @user-faad80 ! Allow me to clarify some points. The one shown in the video, as mentioned, is not based on Neon, but Pupil Core technology and it is being deprecated. That's why you can't find it on our website.
You can still find the overview here and the specs here.
There might be still opportunities to buy it if you inquire to the email address I wrote above.
But kindly note that this add-on was only compatible with the HTC Vive, Vive Pro and Vive Cosmos.
When I mention Neon I do, because it is the future, it is modular so you can use it with different frames including frames for XR headsets.
Currently, we only offer the Pico Neo 4 frame out of the box, but in the future we plan to expand the available frames to support other headsets. If you were to use it with the HTC Vive Pro, you would need to develop your own mount.
if u could able to guide me to the right one for HTC Vive Pro Headset
Please and thank you its is hard for me bc I'm new to this
yes same here is there a design for the valve index?
Hi @user-401946 ! See the answer above as the last part also applies to your case, the only exception being that the old VR Addons won't fit the Valve Index due to a different lens shape.
how would i be able to try to design one for my headset? and is there a place i can get schematics to builds a set?
This is described a bit on the docs here, and the geometries can be found on this repo.
Hi guys, how do you calibrate with VIVE? I've install Pupil Capture but it keeps telling me that world camera is needed to calibrate.
Hi @user-677420 ! have you already tried following the HMD eyes Getting Started steps and checked the developer documentation ? The VR-Addons do not have a world camera, so it sounds like it might not be properly configured.
@user-d407c1 thanks for your solution!! I will try it later.
Hi everyone! I'm using the Addons with HTC Vive, but having problems with Pupil Capture: One of the eye cameras periodically connects and disconnects (~7 seconds on and then off and so on). This issue doesn't happen on Pupil Service, but I need to use Capture to get info on fixations/blinks, etc.
Any ideas what it could be? I've tried with different cables and connecting to different USB ports, but the problem doesn't go away.
Hi @user-13d491 π. Please double-check all connections, e.g. USB cable, camera connectors etc. are all intact and secure, then restart Capture with default settings. Does that improve things?
Hi Neil, thanks for the response! I don't have acess right now but I'll do that on Monday and get back to you.
Eye camera disconnecting periodically
Hello all, I am new to both Unity and Pupil Labs. I am currently trying to install the hmd-eyes.VR.v1.4.unitypackage, and I got as far as importing the custom package into Unity, and then I received this error. These are my project settings. I realize the documentation specifies setting the API Compatibility Level to .NET 4x, but that doesn't seem to be an option for me. Any advice would be appreciated!
