@everyone πŸ“£Big updates to Pupil Cloud! We’ve completely redesigned and reimplemented Pupil Cloud’s UI based on valuable feedback from the community. The new design aims to optimize the flow from raw eye tracking data to analysis. The redesigned project editor integrates recordings, enrichments, and downloads into one place. Check out the video for an intro or jump into the demo workspace for a hands-on experience! Also, lots more in the pipeline for Cloud - stay tuned!

PS - We feel like the new UI is better in every way. But hey, we’re biased. If you like the old UI, you can switch back via https://old.cloud.pupil-labs.com

[email removed] we're excited to announce the release of our new Alpha Lab content, "Uncover gaze behaviour on phone screens with Neon.” πŸš€

Here’s what we did:

https://youtu.be/gp5O1uskDME

😎 We put on Neon - Pupil Labs latest eye-tracker - and started scrolling through our favourite mobile radio app.

🎯 Our aim: To test whether Neon can capture and characterise viewing behaviour while gazing at small icons on mobile applications.

🧭 We generated heatmaps and scanpaths, offering a visual representation of where users direct their attention while using mobile apps. But we didn't stop at visualisation. πŸ‘‡πŸ½

πŸ“Š We conducted a quantitative analysis, calculating gaze metrics on areas of interest (AOIs) and providing tangible outcomes about the salience of each area.

πŸš€Β We mapped gaze onto dynamic screen content while scrolling through a mobile radio app, enabling a more natural assessment of user behaviour.

🌍 And to provide a holistic evaluation, we took Neon out into a real-world setting, observing users interacting with mobile apps while looking at products on a supermarket shelf.
